169. lol.
Today was good, for the most part. In the evening it was spectacular.
During my luxurious sleep in the morning I was woken up by a phone call from Le-My asking to meet her during her lunch break, y’know, a small lunch-break “hey”. I had nothing planned for the day so in an hour or so’s time I got myself out, dressed and down to St. Paul’s Cathedral down Central London. She was working (work placement) down there. I also had to bring down a pack of disposable cutlery for some supposed humorous present for her accountancy firm. I hope they enjoyed it, aha.
She bought me food, so that satisfied myself for the noon. I enjoy my time with Le-My. Seems like I’ve grown eminently fond of her company, and I feel at times the silence is more welcomed than our discussions. That I enjoy too though, her discussions. She’s mature enough to enjoy the silence between us and take in the surroundings. I invited her to the Opening Ceremony for the 2012 London Olympics but she later turned it down.
I didn’t do all that much after that for some hours. I headed down to Stratford, bought myself the game Nier which’ll be discussed more about in the next couple days and then headed home. I then fixed up the little hair I had and headed badminton with Le-My and Sadian. Turned out the session wasn’t on today though, oh well. And it turns out myself and Sadian have the same sports polo. Ha, clearly a statement of our heterosexuality.
At this point in time I’m slightly annoyed that I can’t remember the odd small events that happened in my day. I haven’t used the black notebook I was given for a while and I don’t enjoy pulling out my phone every odd second to record something. I guess I’ll have to get back to using the book!
Since I don’t remember much, and it is 3:20 in the morning to be fair, we’ll skip ahead.
Earlier on in the day at home I had overheard my eldest brother discuss viewing the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony at a nearby local park around 9 in the evening. So I thought sure. Leina wanted to see me and it was a great way to get out of the house and share the international opening ceremony with hundreds if not over a thousand other individuals. Le-My chose not to come in the end.
god I’m really tired… I apologise for this.
We got there around 8:45 with Sadian, met Leina, Kakay and other friends and watched the opening ceremony until 12:30. It was very good, not up to Beijing’s standards though. Loads of Asians screamed and shouted when their country names appeared, and uh the fireworks were amazing and the performance by Paul McCartney at the end was stunning. The whole ceremony felt patriotic and uniting, and hell the sketch with the Queen pretending to jump out of the helicopter was hilarious. Props to their humour.
And that’s that. Pow. All in one tiny rushed paragraph. It’s a shame, today was a really nice day. Tiredness has gotten the best of me and it isn’t even my fault today, I arrived really late from the ceremony and then cleaned up a bit. Tiiiiireeeeeeddd.
And this was supposed to be a deep and meaningful blog. I’d actually prepared myself a little talk too. Such a shame. Maybe in some days, I’ll be hanging with Tanya for a bit.
Until Tomorrow…
